FIDE Rated (Top section only) and USCF Rated

  • Eligibility:
    1. Ages 19 and higher.
    2. Ages 18 and under rated over 1700 USCF on December 1, 2026.

  • Rounds & Time Control: 5 Rounds: Saturday: 9am - 1pm - 4:30pm Sunday: 9am - 1pm; G/60 inc 30

  • Prizes: 50% of all entry fees are returned as prizes. Distribution of these prizes will be emailed/announced after round 2 on Saturday evening.

  • Memberships:

    1. FIDE Rated     All players in the any FIDE rated section must have a FIDE ID# prior to round 1. If you do not have one, please submit the following to hanleychessacademy@gmail.com at registration:

  • Name as you would like it to appear on your FIDE ID
  • Birthdate
  • Email
  • Gender
  • Your answer to the following question: "Do you approve of the USA being your FIDE flag?"

    Next, the default time for the Open section is 60 minutes.

    • 2. USCF Rated; USCF active membership is required prior to the start of round 1.

  • Entry Fees: $70 by 10/30/2026, $85 by 11/30, $105 by 12/20, $135 on 12/21 or after

  • Refund/Withdrawal Policies: All refund requests of tournament entry fees will be granted with a fee of $20 per tournament. Refunds are offered up to December 21 midnight EST. On December 22 or after, there are no refunds due to fixed costs.

    If you wish to withdraw, please contact a tournament director and notify him/her of this withdrawal.
