Calculation Classes
(Specialized Training Classes for the 2 Most Important Skills in Chess)

Days & Times:

1. Friday Night - 6pm-8:30pm
2. Saturday Night - 6:15pm-8:45pm

Tactical theory and positional theory are the two main components of chess. Improvement in these skills are how players improve. These are the skills we teach in these classes. Next, with this rigorous study/training, class should only be taken if the students who are willing to commit to 2.5 hours of intense study.

Pricing:

1. Drop In: $25/class.
2. 12 Class Package (Can be redeemed on either Friday or Saturday Night; no expiration, no refunds): $21/class ($252)
3. 10 Class Package (Can be redeemed on either Friday or Saturday Night; no expiration, no refunds): $22/class ($220)
4. 8 Class Package (Can be redeemed on either Friday or Saturday Night; no expiration, no refunds): $23/class ($184)

FAQ's

Q1. Are there different levels in these classes?
A1. Yes, there are two. The first is for students with a USCF rating of 1000 and lower. The second group is for players rated Over 1000. Each group have their own exercises to work on.

Q2. What is the format for these classes?
A2. Under 1000 Group Students: 1.75 hours of tactical exercises, a short break, and then a review of Grandmaster games.
Over 1000 USCF Rated Students: 1.75 hours of tactical exercises, a short break, and then a review of Grandmaster games.

Q3. Is there anything in particular my child needs to do to join this class?
A3. No, all students who are able to commit 2.5 hours of rigorous study are able to join these classes.

Q4. If I am not sure my child will be suited for these classes, can I come in for a trial to see how it works?
A4. Yes, the cost for a trial class is the drop in fee.
